Size is not the only difference. The inserts vary too, which changes how you switch between flowers and fragrance.

    A watertight insert for fresh flowers and a colour-matched fragrance insert with a glass cylinder are included.

    For flowers, remove the fragrance insert together with its glass cylinder and fit the flower insert instead.

    One glass cylinder, two possibilities

    With the small diffuser vases, you can use the supplied glass cylinder for either room fragrance or fresh flowers.

    Before switching to flowers, rinse the glass cylinder thoroughly, then fill it with fresh water.

Two inserts.
Two purposes.

For room fragrance: The colour-matched outer insert holds the glass cylinder. Pour fragrance oil only into this glass cylinder, not into the outer insert or the vase body.

For fresh flowers: Swap the fragrance insert and its glass cylinder for the translucent, watertight flower insert. This holds the water for your arrangement.

Always put water and room fragrance in the appropriate insert. The printed vase body itself is not watertight.

Questions about flowers and fragrance?

Can I pour water or fragrance oil directly into the vase?

No. Pour water only into the designated watertight insert. Fragrance oil belongs only in the glass insert. The printed vase body itself is not watertight.

Do I need a second insert for the small diffuser vases?

To switch to fresh flowers, you can use the glass cylinder supplied with the small Sphere and Pure diffuser vases in 15 and 17.5 cm. Rinse it thoroughly first, then fill it with fresh water.

Switching between two different inserts is the solution for the Sphere diffuser vase in 20, 26 and 32 cm.

I already have a vase. Can I use it for room fragrance too?

It depends on the model, the size and the right glass insert. A flower vase’s water insert is not intended to hold fragrance oil. For the Sphere vase, we offer a fragrance insert upgrade that turns your existing Sphere vase into a diffuser vase.

What should I do if I am missing an insert?

Matching inserts are also available separately through our customer service team. Please give us your order number or the model and size of your vase.
