Special design is exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museums around the world. Well worth a visit. The largest Red Dot Design Museum is located in Essen in the former boiler house of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex. The building was redesigned by Norman Foster. It contains the world's largest exhibition of contemporary design.

The GREEN GOOD DESIGN Award embodies a tradition that has its origins in the GOOD DESIGN Award of 1950. Founded in Chicago by personalities such as Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., this first award stood for the promotion of modern, progressive design. The idea behind the Good Design Award was first implemented in 1950 by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York to present "the best new examples of modern design in home furnishings". Today's winners of the GREEN GOOD DESIGN Award are not only recognized for design excellence, but also for their efforts to promote a more sustainable world - including the Design Vases from ICONIC HOME.
